Cannondale Synapse Review

Cannondale Synapse Review 2

If you are looking for an awesome road bike, then you’ve come to the right place. Today, I am publishing my Cannondale Synapse review so that hopefully you can determine if the Cannondale Synapse is for you.

The Cannondale Synapse is one of my favorite bikes and one of the best road bikes in my opinion for the price range.

The price of a Cannondale Synapse is around $2,500, which makes it around middle of the range when in comes to road bikes.

I will be honest about one thing, though. I’m not sure if it was just a fluke or not, but the carbon frame did end up cracking on me. It was a small crack, but as we all know, carbon frames cannot have a crack on them whatsoever. I took the bike back to my bike dealer and it was warrantied right away. I now have a new Cannondale Synapse that they replaced for free.

Here are some of the great reasons for why you may be interested in the Cannondale Synapse:

  1. This bike has a carbon frame and carbon fork which helps with road vibration.

  2. The disc brakes help you to be able to stop better in rainy conditions or if the road is wet.

  3. A great warranty, as described above.

You can buy the Cannondale Synapse on REI’s website. Plus, if you sign up for their membership program, you will receive 10% back. Yes, that means you can receive up to $250 back on this bike, plus even more if you have an REI credit card (we do). That’s probably the best deal you will ever find for it.

Cannondale Synapse Review

The Cannondale Synapse is for:

Those who live for the love of the ride. Fit, serious, high-performance riders who set their sights beyond the tightly defined world of the pure racer; Gran Fondo specialists, all-day-epic riders, and those who long to venture off the smooth and easy.

After this bike was bought, I decided to test it a bit around Wyoming, Colorado, and a few other places. Riding it up and down mountain passes was an amazing feeling. Some of the RV parks and campgrounds we stayed at included:

  1. KOA in Rock Springs, WY – This was just a stop along the way to Yellowstone. Gravel parking lot RV park, but they did have a nice dog area that I liked.

  2. Yellowstone Fishing Bridge – This is a beautiful campground right in the national park.

  3. Gros Ventre Campground – This is a beautiful campground right in the national park.

  4. Navajo Campground – Beautiful and affordable campground. Wifi was spotty.

  5. Mountain View RV Campground – We just needed a pit stop and to drain the tanks and fill the fresh water.

  6. Twin Lakes Campground – This is one of my favorite campgrounds that is right on a beautiful lake with mountain views. Keep in mind that there is no fresh water here (there’s a water faucet but it did not work the whole time we were there).

  7. Pine Cove Campground – Loved this campground. Affordable and beautiful.

  8. Prairie Point Campground – An affordable campground right on water.

  9. Red Mountain RV Park – Beautiful and very affordable RV park.

  10. Signal Mountain Campground – Nice campground that is affordable.

  11. Lake Granby Campground – This is another one of my favorites. Love this campground and there’s cell signal here!

  12. Great Smoky Mountains Campground – I don’t really know why, but I found the campground here to be a little odd. No signal.

  13. Two Rivers Campground – Stop along the way home.

Hope you enjoyed my Cannondale Synapse review!
