6 World’s Most Expensive Beds

Coming home at the end of a hard workday and relaxing on a comfortable bed is a rite of passage. How would you feel however if the bed you were resting on cost more than what you could possibly earn in a year? There are many expensive beds in the world and here are a few that may catch your attention:

Sphere

For just about £39,000 you can rest on the Sphere Bed by Karim Rashid. This bed comes complete with a 32 inch coloured television, lights on the canopy and even a holder for your champagne. If you want something with everything but the kitchen sink, this is a great bed. It comes in a number of colour choices and can be yours for about the cost of a small luxury car.

Monarch

For the same price you can have the Monarch VI Spring Bed. David Beckham chose this bed himself, likely because it has more than 3,000 springs to ensure that you are more comfortable than you have ever been. The handcrafted mattress is sure to be comfortable as well.

Majesty

For just over £66,000 you can sleep in real luxury on the Majesty VI Spring bed. This beauty has more than 6,000 springs that are all hand nested and the mattress is filled with sustainable materials so not only are you comfortable, you can reduce your carbon footprint while you sleep. Cashmere, silk and lamb’s wool make up the bedding.

Parnian

For £16,4589 you can have the Parnian Furniture Bed. The bed took over eight months to be completed and is all hand crafted. Designed by Abdolhay Parnian, this beauty comes with many different amenities like an iPad holder, swivel television and computer monitors that pop up and fold away for easy storage and many different hidden compartments for all sorts of goodies.

Jado

£53,0252 will buy you the Jado Steel Style Bed that is made of gold. This waterbed is a beauty and is encrusted with many Swarovski crystals. You get many different options for entertainment including a Blu-Ray player, PlayStation 3, Bose sound system and many other amenities.

Baldacchino

The Baldacchino Supreme may just be the most expensive bed of all time. For a cool £4,937,688 you can own this luxurious piece of heaven. Designer Stuart Hughes has designed the ultimate in sleeping luxury with a hand crafted ash and chestnut bed with a cherry wood canopy. There is 107 kg of 24 carat gold inlaid throughout the bed and the fabrics are the finest silks that you can find anywhere. There were only two of these beauties made however and one of them has been sold already. If you are looking to be the owner of the world’s most expensive bed you should buy quickly because the second may not last long.

Summary

Comfort may not be any better in one of these expensive beds than in the bed that you currently lounge upon but if you are looking to impress at your next dinner party, showing off one of these beauties would certainly do it.
